Efficient Multi-Phase Converter for E-Mobility

The recent growth of battery-powered applications has increased the need for high-efficiency step-up dc-dc converters. conversion is commonly used in several applications, such as electric vehicle (EV); plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV); photovoltaic (PV) systems; uninterruptible power supplies (UPS); and fuel cell systems. input current shared among inductors by paralleling converters; resulting high reliability efficiency. In this paper; a detailed analysis reducing loss improving efficiency discussed. continuous conduction mode; converters are tested with constant duty cycle 50%. multi phase interleaved boost converter (MPIBC) controlled switching techniques; which have same frequency but phases shifted. six IBC model 93.82% 95.74% an voltage 20 V 200 V, respectively. presented MPIBC validated comparing it existing IBC. result shows that better than converter. prototype two fabricated to test performance. It found output at load end highest 5 kHz frequency.
